This policy explains the standards OONOW applies when preparing editorial information.

Sources and verification

We prefer primary and official sources where practical and use multiple sources when that helps confirm or explain an issue. Sources are cited so readers can review the original information.

Accuracy and context

We distinguish fact, analysis and attributed claims. We do not fabricate quotations or deliberately misrepresent sources. Articles should add independent context or value rather than simply copy source material.

Corrections and publication dates

We will consider material corrections when incorrect information is identified. Publication dates must not be manipulated to simulate freshness.

Commercial transparency

Sponsored or advertising content must be distinguished from editorial content. Commercial relationships do not determine editorial conclusions.

Automation

Automated tools may assist with discovery, classification, summarisation, duplicate detection and research. Automation does not justify publishing unsupported claims as fact, and appropriate human review remains important.
